In
case you've never been to JobbieNoon
1. JobbieNooner
is a public event held in a public
place. There
will be people having fun, drinking
a few beers and possibly showing some
skin. There is also a 100% possibility
that people will have camera's at the
event and will be taking photo's of
the action. If you do not want your
picture taken and/or do not want to
be featured on this website in any
way, you should either: a) not attend
or b) behave yourself. We are not responsible
for your naked picture (or face) ending
up on the Internet. Every year we get
a slew of e-mails (from women AND men)
asking/requesting/demanding that their
pictures be taken off the site for
various reasons (i.e. my wife might
see me, my boss might see me, etc.)
We are not doing it this year except
under extreme circumstances. Everyone
attends JobbieNooner to have a good
time. Everyone visits JobbieNooner.com
to see what happened and to re-live
fond memories. Think of this as a historical
site - you can't change history!
2. NO
GLASS or TRASH. Every
year we get boatloads of e-mail (no
pun intended) from people who boat
on Lake St. Clair all summer and like
to stop on Gull Island to picnic, party,
etc. Since the JobbieNooner event has
gotten so big during the last few years,
we would like to make some (common
sense) requests: a) ONLY
BRING CANS on the island
(NO GLASS!) - the reason is pretty
obvious, and b) bring some trash bags
with you and pick-up
your own trash! Pretend
you're a Boy Scout and leave the island
cleaner than you found it. It has been
disgraceful the last few years with
the amount of trash left on the island
following the party. Your are all adults
- act like it.
3. Enjoy
the Music! Several
bands usually show up on the island
to jam. There are also some great DJ's
that come out to fire up the crowd
and spin some tunes. You never know
who's going to show up, but you can
be guaranteed that they will put on
a great show!
4. Beads
for Skin. It
is tradition to give girls (and guys,
I guess) beads for showing off what
god gave them (like at Mardi Gras).
Usually the more unique the beads,
the better the results. Be creative
and have some fun trying to give them
away (and of course send us pictures
of your efforts!)
5. Have
Fun and Be Safe and Obey the Law! Your
boat should pass a safety inspection
by the Sheriff. Don't drive drunk!
Bring a designated driver (who can
double as your photographer). We don't
want any of our friends to get hurt
or be thrown in the clink following
this year's bash. Also, if you are
under 21 years old, DON'T DRINK. There
WILL be law enforcement officers on
the island, whether you see them or
not (can you say "undercover"?)
If you are a minor and you drink, you
will be arrested. The same goes for
illegal substances...Just a few words
of caution. We look forward to seeing
you there!
